Iliotibial band friction syndrome.

The IT band is a tough group of fibers that run along the outside of the thigh. The gluteal muscles and the tensor fascia lata muscle attach to the top, and the lower part attaches to the tibia, just below the knee. IT Band SYNDROME occurs when there is irritation to this band of fibrous tissue. The irritation usually occurs over the outside of the knee.

So in 2 days, that's right 2 days...I am supposed to be participating in the Rock n Roll marathon in San Diego. So Damon and I decide to go on a 10 mile run yesterday and after mile 1, my IT band gets inflamed.  Its the worst feeling. It makes it so you can't run.  I have 2 days until I am supposed to run 26 miles, and I can't even run 1.  Sooooo...now Advil has become my best friend and I am just taking it easy.  Lets hope I will be able to even give it a try this weekend.  Everyone say a little prayer for me :)  appreciation!

"I Have a Feeling Someone Isn't Paying Attention"

I don't think I have laughed so hard in the longest time.  Thanks girls for coming out! I am so glad that we got together before everyone moved.   I had so much fun.  Teryn had all the best quotes for the weekend.  Lets see... where do we start.  Lets start with the Getty. There are 8 levels of parking and not one of us thought of taking note of where are car was, but Teryn was smart enough to think about how no one was paying attention as we were walking in, but decides that she doesn't need to pay attention either...so helpful! Needless to say, "I have a feeling someone isn't paying attention" became the quote for the entire weekend.

Lets move on to the Dodgers game.  First Major League game ever for Teryn.  We sat in front of a bunch of St. Louis Cardinals fans, and became friends with all of them.  As we're leaving Teryn turns to them and says, "So, did you guys drive here from Arizona?"  Nichole, turns to me with wide opened eyes as we want to save Teryn from her embarrassment and then as the group from St. Louis reminds her that she was thinking of football, Teryn replies with "Sorry, Its my first game!"  I just about peed my pants.  As we're walking back to our car after the game, we get another "I have a feeling someone isn't paying attention!"

Now on to Wicked... We were a little late if you can believe that, so Kera and I drop off Nichole and Teryn to go get our tickets from will call while we go park the car.  As we're walking from the parking lot Teryn gives me a call and says, "They're closing the doors so we left your tickets at will call!"  How nice of them!!! "Hey guys, enjoy the show!!" We'll just park the car and then sit outside and wait for you guys... Good thing, Kera and I sprinted to get the tickets and they let us in.  Again, another genius moment for us.

Girls, I already miss the 4 am talks, sleeping until noon, the restless leg syndrome, the air mattress, chocolate chip cookies, laughing non stop, Nichole beating us at Phase 10 with her eyes closed, Teryn with her quotes and calling me out, and Jean with her insomnia.  Cant wait until we do it again. Love you girls!

New York

New York, New York!!!

So Damon and I just got back from New York.  Any girl who loves to go shopping will find themselves a kid in a candy store, a lion set free from its cage, a squirrel who just found a nut...

I was told that Canal Street was the place to go to get cheap designer purses, jeans, jewelry, etc...well I have decided that Canal Street is my least favorite place in New York. I was afraid for my life. It was poring rain, I had gang members trying to sell me jeans hidden in their secret hiding spots...asians taking me in their secret doors, and in the end most of the stuff wasn't even real. There were these guys who were trying to sell me a Louis Vuitton purse that was actually real. By the way I don't even like Louis Vuitton. They took us behind a phone booth and were looking around for cops, and they had the purses in these black plastic bags which is what everyone uses at Canal Street because most the stuff you buy is illegal and stolen. If I would have bought that purse, I probably  would have been calling one of ya to bail Damon and me out of jail.

So Damon and I decided to leave there and go shopping around Time Square...well again, nothing was going our way. Everything we liked they didn't have in our size. Defeated soldiers we decided to go to Fridays and indulge in a scrumptious brownie obsession to sulk in our misery.  Well we go sit at the bar because the place is packed, and of course we get the meanest bar tender alive... and they just ran out of brownie obsession. We couldn't believe it. Our day was officially down the drain...Thats when we met Eddy.  He became my best friend.  Eddy, who almost hit on Damon when I was in the bathroom, began to speak to us about the hotspots for fashion.  Then he said the four letter word...SOHO!!!  The next morning we took his advise. We stepped off the (6) Subway on Spring St and walked to Prince St. As we turned the corner the skies turned blue and the dark clouds opened.  We only had 3 hours before we had to leave and go to the airport, so we had to act fast.  We ended up getting designer jeans for cheap... I bought the cutest boots, and we got Damon some awesome ties for like 5 dollars each.  I needed like a whole day there.  NOW I KNOW, and I am letting all of my shopping lovers out there know that if you ever go to New York...ask someone how to get to SOHO!!!!
